Making an impact
Clarksons Charity Giving Day 2024 saw staff raise money for 5 incredible Charities that we as a Foundation have worked closely with over the past 12-18 months.
Each Charity with the fantastic efforts of Clarksons received a donation of £50,000 each. Find out more about what each Charity plans to achieve with these donations and keep up to date with the progress below.
School of Hard Knocks (SOHK)
This donation will provide Bacons College, one of the colleges SOHK's delivers their programme at, with funding:
- For all the key delivery staff required to run the girl’s programme for the 2024/25 academic year.
- All necessary training costs to ensure staff are fully trained professionals.
- To enable all of the young people to attend the 'away days' that the Charity organise - helping to expand their experiences, skills and training.
This donation will also provide Westminster City School, another of the colleges SOHK's delivers their programme at with funding:
- For all key delivery staff required to run the boy's programme for the 2024/25 academic year, supporting more than 50 young people.
- Help to fund the 'away days' for the young people.

Dig Deep
This donation will enable:
4 spring protection projects to be completed over the next 6 months providing over 4,000 people with clean drinking water for the first time in Bomet County, Kenya.
SPRING PROTECTION PROJECT UPDATE
In 2023, Dig Deep's project to bring clean water to the whole county started by building eight spring protection projects and a community rainwater harvesting solution, which will bring a constant source of clean water closer to each community.
They plan to deliver 81 water projects over the next 5 years.

The Renaissance Foundation (RF)
This donation will:
Go towards the strategizing, supporting and development of RF's latest employability and life skills programme - the 'Future Ready' Project. The project will run for 3 years with the aim to equipped young people with the essential skills needed for personal and professional development.
Year 1 will focus on developing essential life skills and foundational career competencies.
Year 2 and 3 the focus moves towards employability skills and careers awareness.

The Lotus Flower
This donation will go towards:
Rise & Thrive - a UK programme providing a foundation for The Lotus Flower's UK growth in alignment with their continued focus on SDGs Education & Livelihoods, Health & Safety, Peacebuilding & Human Rights, and Climate change.
Hastings Hub - a hub in Hastings offering creative sessions in a friendly and safe space for the local community which will continue to be sustained with this funding.
And finally supporting the Women's Business Incubator programme in Kurdistan which enables women to earn an income through their own skills, become financially independent, and create a sustainable business for themselves.
