Meet the Trustees
The Trustees that make up the board for the Clarkson Foundation comprise a cross-section of Clarksons staff. Each bring their own personal, professional experiences and passions.
The trustees bring real value to the way in which the Foundation collaborates and delivers impact. The one thing that they all have in common is that they want to make positive change and contribute towards something that is measurably meaningful.

Leo Askaroff
“Working on a broking desk and in a broking environment we are naturally tenacious and ambitious. I see these as transferrable skills, and if we can put this energy into the Foundation we’ll be able to achieve great things for the charities that we are helping.”

Dharani Shridharan
“It’s been rewarding to learn so much about the charities that we support, the progress they make and the impact that they are having. I had the opportunity to meet with the staff and children from The Renaissance Foundation - the confidence and positive attitude of the kids who face incredibly challenging circumstances at home, is admirable and inspiring – they are go-getters and we can all learn from them!”

Kate Thompson
“Annually we look at our fundraising objectives, we get around a table and discuss what’s important to us and where we want to focus our grant giving. It’s great to be part of a team that has a core objective of being ‘a force for good’. We’re still a young charity but we’ve managed to help masses of people and there’s so much more in the pipeline.”

Lily Bagshaw
“Being a trustee has been amazing. We meet regularly to discuss progress and where we can go next. It’s fulfilling to receive letters and requests from so many different varieties of charities and we’re fortunate to be in a position where we can help them in a range of different ways. The Foundation has touched so many people’s hearts and I’m really proud to be a part of it.”

Rich Haines
“We realised that if we wanted to move on from the giving that we did as a CSR committee we needed a vehicle that would take us to the next level – the formation of The Clarkson Foundation means we achieve more. From a personal level, we work very hard in what we do, and we have our life outside of work, but I think its really important that we all realise how much impact the Foundation is having, and the potential of how much more it could do."

Bob Knight
“I'm delighted to sit on the board of the Foundation for several reasons. Firstly, it's a fantastic thing for the company to be doing. Secondly, we have challenging times at the moment, Charities are struggling and if we can provide financial support to worthy causes then that's a good thing. And finally, it's also great to be able to donate to charities where we can understand how the grant giving is used and importantly where the tangible difference is being made in a way that we can see and understand. And this is across a range of different focus areas and sizes.”

Ingeborg Almås
“I am excited to be a part of the Foundation helping to create change and reach Charity projects worldwide. There are really no limits to what projects we are invested in, with a shared goal to creating meaningful change. Even just a small donation can make such a difference. "

Kim-Eirik Ovesen
“Joining the board of trustees was a great opportunity for me to use my skills set in a different way and bring something new to the Foundation. We all have a responsibility to help make a difference and in working with the Clarkson Foundation I hope this is something we can achieve for causes close to ours and others hearts. ”

Jeff Woyda
“When selecting charities to support, the trustees consider the imperatives of the foundation. Everyone brings ideas, analysis, thought processes and collectively we decided how and where we can focus our grant giving to ensure we can see projects through to the end so that they make a difference, have a positive impact to society and importantly be sustainable and have a lasting change.”
If you think the foundation can help with charitable causes you are involved with, or you have an idea of ways the foundation can help – get in touch.
